Services and Solutions

Experience

Kaimetrix manages all USDA activities related to the Food & Nutrition Service’s (FNS’s) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Our team created and implemented a System Security Plan (SSP) for the cloud-native solution, conducting Privacy Threshold Analyses (PTA) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA), and applying system security controls to maintain FIPS 199 compliance. We also developed concept of operations (CONOPS) documents, Security Assessment Plans (SAPs), and preparing accreditation packages to achieve Authority to Operate (ATO) per RMF guidelines.
Kaimetrix provides Vulnerability Management and Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) in support of the NMRC. Our team implements and applies security controls, creates Plans of Action and Milestones (PAO&Ms), and monitors for system security risks to achieve and maintain 100% compliance with DISA STIGs across 7 worldwide locations.

DID YOU KNOW?

67% of Government cybersecurity professionals say their agency is not ready to fend off hackers. 95% believe the deployment of cybersecurity solutions is an absolute necessity to protect their agencies from data loss, theft, and other attacks. (FedTech, “The FISMA Focus IPD”)

Data Operations

With the rapid increase in raw data produced and stored by government agencies every year, solutions to manage that data, and use it to inform critical business decisions, are vital. Kaimetrix provides an approach for agencies to gather, control, organize, and store data, and empowers them to act on it to improve insights, outcomes, and results.

Services and Solutions

Experience

Kaimetrix provides Business Intelligence (BI) to support the DoD using Oracle OBIEE. Our work includes developing APIs and Web Services to integrate financial, business, and contract data from multiple government systems into a DoD-wide Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). Additionally, our team developed white papers and case studies to introduce prototype Apache Hadoop and Oracle RAC technology.
KMX applies our expertise in Big Data Analysis, Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW), and Business Intelligence (BI) to advance data science in support of the Food & Nutrition Service’s (FNS’s) Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Our team aggregated artifacts such as user and system design requirements to design a smart, secure, and scalable database platform using innovative BI tools to inform and empower SNAP stakeholders and end users by helping them make informed, data-driven decisions.

To support the USACE Automated Personal Property Management System (APPMS), KMX applied our DataOps approach to provide data analysis, orchestration, integration, and modeling. We implemented identity management capabilities, established open database connectivity (ODBC) with four external DoD systems, and upgraded the Oracle database from 11g to 12c using Oracle RAC in the cloud environment.

According to the Government’s Accountability Office, the total amount of data generated by the Federal Government in 2017 was 6x the total generated in 2012. (State of Federal IT Report, cio.gov 2018)

End-User Support

Federal employees should focus on executing day-to-day tasks, not IT. Yet, with the proliferation of new products and applications, end users are forced to navigate an ever-expanding number of systems, devices, and information (account numbers, usernames, passwords, process steps). Kaimetrix provides the Administrative and User Support Services that agencies need—incorporating IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices—to provide a seamless end-user experience, reduce per-user costs, and minimize disruption to daily business processes.

Services and Solutions

Experience

For the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) Region 3, Kaimetrix assists end users by receiving, responding to, tracking, and resolving all support requests related to audio/visual (AV) issues and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) performance. Our Help Desk Specialists troubleshoot issues remotely and coordinate service orders including installation and maintenance of AV/VTC hardware and software to minimize disruption and keep EPA end users operating at peak productivity.

To support US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) personnel and end users of the USACE Automated Personal Property Management System (APPMS), KMX provides Technical Assistance to include providing Tier I – Tier III Help Desk support. Our team stood up and managed the USACE IT Service Management (ITSM) ticketing system, using a Known Error Database (KEDB) to improve the first-call resolution rates, the mean time to repair (MTTR), and improve the overall customer experience.

According to whitehouse.gov, 7% of all annual Federal IT spending is dedicated to Administrative and User Support Services.

IT Management

Kaimetrix works with our partners to ensure schedules are set, deadlines are met, risks and costs are controlled, and projects are delivered in line with quality objectives both on-time and on budget. Kaimetrix has maintained compliance with project baselines and delivered expected results on-time according to established milestones across all current contracts..

IT Program Management Services and Solutions

Experience

Kaimextrix’s Program Management Office (PMO) oversees Security Processing, coordinated Transition and Knowledge-Transfer activities, and offers expertise, best practices, and reach-back support to personnel across all tasks to keep them 100% mission-focused on accomplishing program objectives and delivering quality service to NMRC.

For the Forest Service, KMX developed and implemented a Quality Control Plan (QCP) to ensure we provide 100% of deliverables on time while meeting all contract Acceptable Quality Levels (AQLs). Our team has implemented internal KPIs, managed aggressive delivery schedules, adhered to strict processes, and maintained compliance to deliver first-class service to USDA.

Software Development

Many agencies are challenged with applying development methodologies to modernize or build applications. Kaimetrix solves these challenges by institutionalizing a best-fit Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) approach to achieve application development objectives.

Services and Solutions

Experience

Kaimetrix stood up a new state-of-the-art Agile Development Center (ADC) to manage 13 development streams, 500,000 lines of code, and 24 development sprints per year. The ADC incorporates CMMI-Dev Level 3 processes and includes a full suite of open-source development tools, Integrated Development Environment an automated test framework, and virtualized isolated development and test environments.

The Kaimetrix team led architecture engineering for the redevelopment of an enterprise web-based case management system. We successfully migrated the system to Microsoft Azure’s cloud platform. This includes a secure SOA to interface with law enforcement systems. The application employs responsive design to support multiple devices and interactive GIS mapping solutions to track a highly mobile user base.
